What Destinations Are The Friendliest?

One of the most important ingredients for a fantastic holiday is finding
somewhere friendly and welcoming, where tourists are well received and the
atmosphere is relaxing and convivial.
One particularly friendly place to holiday in is the Algarve in Portugal.
Perhaps due to the many hours of sunshine it has every year and the gorgeous
beaches, there are plenty of very friendly and family focused resorts where
groups of holidaymakers can guarantee an excellent trip. Albufeira is one
perfect example of a fun and friendly holiday destination! Spanish resorts
are also well set-up for family holidays and the local people are friendly
and proud of their country - they're often happy to recommend destinations
for visitors and local attractions, particularly if they live in areas with
a strong tourist industry.
Closer to home, the Scottish Highlands and the Scottish Islands were voted
as having the friendliest locals in the UK in a survey by Traveladvisor.
With 'staycations' becoming increasingly popular, Scotland could be a new
option for many families who would previously have automatically headed
abroad! Similarly, try Blackpool for a 'retro' holiday filled with fun and
friendly local people - or Devon and Cornwall for welcoming local people, as
well as very beautiful scenery and food! Ireland is of course a classic
place for those who like to combine friendly locals with lively nights out,
dancing and a few drinks - try Dublin, Belfast or Cork for a guaranteed
excellent holiday!
Other very friendly places include the beautiful Maldives - for those with a
larger budget! And Orlando and Florida in the USA are both well known for
being particularly family-friendly in their attractions and facilities. Try
Thailand too for further afield holidays with friendly and charming people.
